Rundle Lantern

The Rundle Lantern is Adelaide’s digital canvas - a spectacular and invigorating creation attracting residents and visitors alike.

Commissioned by the City of Adelaide and designed by local design firm Fusion, the Rundle Lantern allows the community to co-create the beautiful city skyscape with large scale animations. Over sixteen million colours can be projected on the 748 LED activated screens attached to the Rundle Street UPark building on the corner Pulteney and Rundle Streets. The lantern stretches nine-storeys high and spans 1,066 square metres. It is completely solar powered and carbon neutral.

The Lantern operates every night from dusk till midnight, and later for special events.

Through the webcam, you can watch the movement along Rundle Street by day, and the diverse and imaginative light display of the Lantern at night - all from the comfort of your armchair!
