Getting here

Located in the south-eastern corner of the city, the most convenient form of public transport to the Hutt Street library is the bus. The closest bus stops are K1 and J1 on the east side of Hutt Street and Q1 on the west side. Use the Adelaide Metro Journey Planner to plan your visit using public transport.

If you are already within the city or North Adelaide, the Adelaide Free connector bus is a great option. The large loop (98a and 98c) connects North Adelaide and the City, while the small loop (99a and 99c) connects the inner city areas that are not serviced by the tram.

Taxis and Uber can drop at the library door. While there is no taxi rank near the library, staff are happy to assist you in calling for a taxi if required.

There is one disability parking place located directly outside the library. Short-term parking is available on Hutt Street, South Terrace, Gillies Street and Halifax Street. Please read parking signage carefully before leaving your vehicle as time limits and costs may apply.

For full details please read the Hutt Street Library Access Guide.
