Rymill Park Upgrade
Project status – Works underway
About the project
We are renewing aging paths throughout Rymill Park and installing new path lighting in selected areas. These upgrades are designed to enhance the safety and accessibility of the park for all users.
Why are we doing this?
This project aims to improve the overall safety and accessibility of Rymill Park by upgrading aging infrastructure and enhancing lighting in key areas. These improvements will ensure the park remains a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
When are we doing it?
Path renewal - Works to renew paths have now completed.
Lighting installation – Civil works to install new lighting will start from 25 November, from the playground to Dequetteville Terrace, and will be completed by 25 December. Electrical works will be completed in the new year. There will be temporary worksite set up, but access will be maintained throughout the works, occasionally on restricted paths. Some of the work may be noisy.
Community feedback
Community feedback has highlighted the importance of improved lighting and safer pathways within the park. This project directly responds to those concerns, and we will provide regular updates on its progress.
