The City of Adelaide supports the arts community through a range of opportunities and funding.

Recognising that public art is essential to the quality of life and identity of the city, the City of Adelaide supports the development of an internationally recognised, contemporary Public Art Program.

There are many opportunities for you to become involved in arts and culture in the city. The City of Adelaide regularly accepts expressions of interest from artists interested in:

  • creating murals
  • sculptural works
  • participating in residencies such as the Creative Sparks Program
  • contributing to Capital Development work.

Funding and grants

The City of Adelaide's Arts and Cultural Grants Program offers the following funding categories:

  • Public Art
  • Community Programs and Events
  • Live Music Enterprise
  • Quick Response
  • Cultural Promotion

Some categories are only open at certain times of the year and eligibility criteria applies. Please visit our Arts and Cultural Grants page for more information.
