Clubs & associations

With over 207 hectares of sporting landing available for the community to use, the City of Adelaide makes sporting licences and leases available to many local clubs, associations and personal trainers.

If you are a club or association and would like to utilise facilities within the city that are currently under licence or lease, you may be able to negotiate a sub-lease with the title holders.

Holders of the lease/licence have first priority in the use of the facility.

Adelaide Archery Club

The clubrooms and shooting grounds are located in Adelaide’s beautiful park lands, in Bullrush Park / Warnpangga (Park 10). The public are welcome to visit with several park benches available for guests to sit and observe.

The Adelaide Harriers Amateur Athletic Club is one of the oldest athletics clubs in South Australia with history dating back over 100 years. With a strong reputation in distance running, the club caters for all distances summer and winter.

University of South Australia Badminton Club

It doesn't matter whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced player, you are welcome to have a hit and have fun! If you don't have a racket, you can hire a racket ($2) at UniSA Sport's front counter, and they will also provide shuttlecocks for you.

    Adelaide University Basketball Club

    The Adelaide University Basketball Club are one of the oldest senior basketball clubs in South Australia. Offering members the chance to keep both physically and socially active while studying (and in many cases beyond). The club has both women's and men's teams, competing in both district (division 3-8) and social competitions.

    Adelaide Kickboxing Academy

    Boxing classes at the Adelaide Kickboxing Academy combine fundamentals and conditioning exercises into a fun workout. Trainers have years of experience and can help you reach your personal fitness goal.

    Adelaide Cricket Club

    The club fields three women's teams, six senior men's sides and seven junior boy's teams within the South Australian Cricket Association competitions. Proudly known as the Adelaide Buffalos.

    South Terrace Croquet Club

    The Club, established in 1911, is in an idyllic park land setting, offering 2 croquet courts, and a fine clubhouse adjacent magnificent gum trees. The Club emblem is the Adelaide Rosella as there are many of these beautiful birds in the immediate vicinity. The Club, located in the southeast corner of the Adelaide Parklands, is accessible via Beaumont Road at the junction of South and East Terrace.

    Adelaide Park Lands Disc Golf Course

    Located in the Adelaide Park Lands, this location has elevated the sports profile tremendously. This course is perfect for new players as well as more experienced disc golfers. Manicured fairways with water hazards, transitioning elevation and historic trees make this a rewarding course to play. League days and social events are conducted often and everybody is welcome.

    South Australian Obedience Dog Club

    Once your puppy/dog is fully vaccinated, members can join this club to work in small classes without experienced instructors in dog handling/training.

    Adelaide Swords Club

    The club welcomes everyone of all abilities — from beginners and casual fencers who like to keep their minds and bodies fit to athletes who compete at the highest level. It holds training sessions on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:30 pm, beginner and intermediate classes for kids on Saturday mornings and adult courses at various times during the year.

    Catering to all experience levels in all three weapons, Foil, Epee, and Sabre. Group training sessions and private coaching are available from coaches with extensive experience from beginner level to seasoned veterans.

      Riverside Rowing Club is both a recreational and competitive rowing club. All potential members must attend an Induction Course before they can be accepted as a full member. New members will then need to complete an application form and email to the club secretary.

      Adelaide Uni Ultimate Frisbee Club

      The AU Ultimate Frisbee club caters for players of all standards, especially those who are new to the sport. The club takes part in the Uni Nationals, local competitions and recreational matches. Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact sport.
