Activities and programs — at the Library

The Adelaide City Libraries are excited to announce the Big Summer Read campaign for children and young adults aged 0 to 18 years.
This program, originally launched by Libraries Victoria, is now in its fifth year and is being introduced to Libraries SA for the first time this summer (last year in 2024, more than 24,000 young readers participated in the challenge, and that was just in Victoria!)
The aim is to encourage children and families to maintain their reading habits during the school holidays when routines change.
Children can obtain a free paper reading log entry form and registration from any of our libraries.
They must be returned by 6:00 pm on Monday 9 February 2026.
Every completed entry will be entered into a draw with a chance to win one of two $100 Dymocks vouchers.
