Your Adelaide City Libraries membership card is the key to a treasure trove of services and resources, and you can unlock them from your Internet device anywhere, anytime.

From the educational to the informational and even the whimsical, using your library membership you can read an eBook or magazine, learn a language, stream your favourite music, watch a movie, connect with your community or just have fun, all using your chosen Internet enabled device from the comfort of your home.

What are you waiting for – what will you discover in the treasure trove today?

Through the One Card network, you can access eBooks and audiobooks. Choose from classics, new releases, non fiction and bestsellers for all ages. Titles can be borrowed for up to 21 days and are returned automatically.

Simply download to your compatible eBook reader, iPad, smartphone, mp3 player, PC or laptop, 24 hours a day. To browse the collection, go to our eBook collection and log in using your South Australian library card. Alternatively, if you’re in our online catalogue just select ‘eBooks & Audiobooks’ from the drop-down menu.

Through Adult Multicultural Education Services (AMES) you can learn English from beginner to intermediate level – for work, life and study in Australia and global environments. Improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills - gain the confidence to use English in everyday situations, for work and study. Be Connected

Join an online national movement helping older Australians to increase their online confidence and skills. An initiative of the Australian Government, through Be Connected you can create your own learning plan, access a range of helpful resources and get the most out of going online.

The Adelaide Picture Collection

The Adelaide Picture Collection contains over 1000 photographs dating from the mid-19th Century and is available for viewing online. Part of the City of Adelaide History Hub, you’ll find images of city streets and buildings, parks and people, and various civic events, services and infrastructure.

Ancestry Library Edition

Trace your family history using over 7,000 databases including Census, Marriage & Death, Military and Immigration. This includes extensive coverage of United States and the United Kingdom.

Trove Australia is a fascinating resource from the National Library of Australia. You’ll find information on all things Australian - from books, images, video files, historic newspapers, maps, music, manuscripts, archives and more.

Find my Past

Trace your ancestry with an extensive collection of records from Australia and New Zealand, including military records, migration records, electoral rolls and more. You can also create a free account to keep track of your research and build your family tree.
