Dr Mark Siebentritt

I am a proud South Ward business executive specialising in sustainability. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science with Honours and a PhD in Environmental Science, both from the University of Adelaide and am passionate about tackling climate change.

I have held various roles on Boards and Committees and have experience across a broad range of sectors including state and local government, natural resource management, sustainable agriculture and natural hazard management. My interest in sustainability took off at a young age, influenced by reading David Suzuki’s various books, growing up on a small farm in the Adelaide Hills and spending time camping on the River Murray.

My priorities as a Councillor are to focus on restoring trust in council decision making, building a climate resilient city and to support residents and businesses bring back vibrancy in the wake of COVID-19. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending my time with my wife and three children mostly running to and from various children's sporting activities. I also love to catch a game of AFL or head out fishing when I get the chance.
