David Elliott
Central Ward Councillor
I am a public servant and a former intelligence analyst, with time spent in the Air Force and having worked for the Fair Work Ombudsman. With my training as a geographer and sociologist, I am passionate about access to opportunities for everyone, including the importance of our cultural and natural heritage and our unique Park Lands and am a strong believer in making Adelaide inclusive, active and sustainable.
As a lifelong cyclist with a vision to make cycling safer and more accessible in Adelaide, I currently chair Bike Adelaide. I am also the co-convenor of the Labor Environment Action Network.
I believe that a city is at its best when it makes its streets safe for people to walk and cycle, protects its heritage and natural environment, and makes space for people to meet, socialise and recreate.
