Council Member gifts and benefits
For the purposes of sections 72A(2) of the Local Government Act 1999, if a Council Member receives a gift or benefit greater than the amount determined by the Minister, by Gazette, the member must provide details of the gift or benefit. The threshold amount governing when a gift or benefit must be registered as published by the Minister in the Gazette on 17 November 2022 (page 6659) is $50.00.
