Media Lab

All Adelaide City Library centres are open.

You can refer to this webpage for the latest update regarding our response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

Use digital technology to bring your music, animation, art or film project to life.

Located in the City Library, the Media Lab is a haven of creative inspiration to customers, artists and residents alike. Music, illustration, photography, animation and film are celebrated on a daily basis. Whether it is through volunteer run tutorial sessions, community driven Residencies or even daily enjoyment of the space, the Media Lab has something to help you realise your creative potential.

One-on-one assistance

During a one-on-one session your friendly Media Lab volunteer will work with you to answer your digital media questions. Common topics covered include: filming, animation, music and video or photo editing.

You’ll have access to, and learn how to use the latest Macintosh technology, HD Sony video camera, Intuous Pro Wacom or learn industry standard software such as packages from the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, Avid Pro Tools, Sibelius and more.
