In the interests of public health and safety, businesses are required to adhere to certain food handling and hygiene standards.
If you feel these standards have been breached, we encourage you to let us know.
When you should notify us
Please tell us about any:
- foreign matter found in food
- poor personal hygiene/food handling
- pests
- unclean food premises
- food premise waste storage/refuse
In addition, we encourage you to notify us about general health-related issues such as:
- unsanitary conditions
- odours
- pests
- waste storage/refuse
What we do to help
The City of Adelaide has a team of Environmental Health Officers (EHOs) who are responsible for monitoring and investigating health issues that arise within the Adelaide city and North Adelaide, as shown on this map.
