Talk with a Local
About the program:
The ‘Talk with a Local’ program links international students who wish to improve their English conversation skills with local volunteers from the community.
Participants and volunteers talk one-on-one informally, for an hour each week, in a public space, at a time they have arranged.
For students 'Talk with a Local' is a great way to practice conversational English and learn more about the local community and culture.
For volunteers 'Talk with a Local' is a great way to meet someone from another culture, and provide a valuable local connection for someone new to Australia and Adelaide.
Volunteers
To apply please read the Volunteer Role Description, and then complete an application. The 'Talk with a Local' Coordinator will then contact you to book you into a volunteer information session.
