Town Hall South

This webcam is mounted on the Adelaide Town Hall bell tower and shows great views to the southern end of the city.

In the foreground, you’ll see Victoria Square/ Tarntanyangga, the largest town square. Originally a meeting place for Kaurna people, today it is a great meeting place for all cultures, community and visitors. You’ll often see major events and festivals being held here. Be sure to check back in December each year when the City of Adelaide installs and lights the largest Christmas tree in the southern hemisphere!

To the left of the image is the Adelaide Magistrates Court. To the right, the Supreme Court. These are both National Trust heritage buildings. In the middle of the square is a statue of Queen Victoria, presented by Honourable Sir Edwin Thomas Smith, then-former Mayor of Adelaide.
