Road closures

Your travel and plans may be affected by these road closures. Please check the details and make any adjustments needed.

Road closures will be in place around Adelaide Oval when Port Adelaide face Fremantle on Saturday 18 July.

From 9:30 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday 18 July 2026, the following road will be closed:

  • War Memorial Drive between Riverbank Footbridge and King William Road.

From 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday 18 July 2026, the following roads will be closed:

  • King William Street between Currie Street and North Terrace.
  • King William Road between North Terrace and Pennington Terrace.
  • Festival Drive between King William Road and a point 80 meters west.
  • Sir Edwin Smith Avenue between Kermode Street and King William Road.
  • Victoria Drive between Kintore Avenue and King William Road.
  • War Memorial Drive from Edwin Smith Avenue to a point 180 meters east.
  • Pennington Terrace between Palmer Place and King William Road.

From 3:10 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday 18 July 2026, the following road will be closed:

  • North Terrace between Victoria Street and King William Road.

Participants on the closed roads during the date and times specified above are exempt from the duty to observe all Australian Road Rules relating to pedestrian behaviour. Emergency and authorised vehicles are exempt from road closures as indicated by the signage. SA Police may vary the road closure times at their discretion. S/Sgt Holland. Beer and BBQ Festival will take place on War Memorial Drive on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 July 2026.

An Order has been made to close the roads below to traffic as provided in Section 33(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Act.

War Memorial Drive Between King William Road and Montefiore Road will be closed during the following date and times: From 9:30am on Thursday 9 July 2026 to 6:00pm on Sunday 12 July 2026.

Access will be maintained for Next Gen carpark from Montefiore Rd

Participants located inside the closure in War Memorial Drive during the date and times listed above, are exempt from the duty to observe all Australian Road Rules relating to pedestrian behaviour.
