With hot, sunny weather forecast for the Easter long weekend, there’s something to suit everyone’s taste in the City of Adelaide.

Food lovers will be in for a treat, with the Adelaide Central Market open until 7:00 pm tonight. Traders will also be selling produce from 7:00am Saturday morning.

Adelaide Central Market Manager Jodie Kannane says they’ll have all the ingredients for a family feast.

“With a huge range of traditional Easter goodies and Market favourites available under the one roof we’re looking forward to helping families bring their Easter celebrations to life this long weekend,” Ms Kannane said.

Rundle Mall will be a hive of activity, with businesses open for regular trading from 9:00 am Saturday morning.

Lord Mayor Sandy Verschoor said the perfect weather forecast would provide a great opportunity to spend time with family and friends.

“The Botanic Gardens and Adelaide Zoo are open throughout the long weekend for families to enjoy,” the Lord Mayor said.

“Plus, for the first time, there will be AFL action at Adelaide Oval on Good Friday, with the Adelaide Crows hosting the Gold Coast Suns at 7:20 pm.”

With many places of worship closed last Easter, this weekend will be a special time.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, many churches require bookings this year “If you’re attending the Crows’ game or coming into the city to shop, don’t forget to support one of our great eateries or pubs who all appreciate your support,” the Lord Mayor said.

“As always, our UParks have some great weekend and public holiday parking deals, too.”
