Helping keep the city safe

Having assessed the risks and benefits, from 5:00 pm, Monday 20 December 2021, it will be mandatory for all City of Adelaide employees, contractors, volunteers, trainees and interns to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

We know that vaccination is key to reducing the spread of COVID-19 within the workplace and the community and, along with my Executive team, I have a duty to ensure our people’s safety and wellbeing at work.

We also have a duty to provide essential and capital city services for our ratepayers, local businesses and our broader community.

A fully vaccinated workplace will reduce the health and safety risk to our people, minimise the disruption to our services, and support our city to be resilient and recover more quickly from the health and economic challenges that COVID-19 presents.
