2023 Melbourne Street Christmas Gnome Trail

These mischievous, bearded creatures have taken over the windows of shops, cafes and businesses along the street.

Find them all and win your own!

Gnomes will be hiding in the windows from 29^th November until just after New Year. You can sneak a peek at the gnomes any time - day or night. To be in the running to win your own handmade gnome, have your entry in at Ollie Ashenden Children’s Shoes by 4:30 pm Friday 5 January 2024 (T's & C's below).

Trail details

Start and finish the trail at Ollie Ashenden Children’s Shoes at 168 Melbourne Street. Pick up a trail map/entry form here or from one of the many businesses along the street. Look out for pavement sticker clues along the way and start your gnome hunt!

Check the Post Office nearby first and then head east on the trail as far as Zapatas Restaurant. Turn around and head back to the pedestrian lights, cross over, then head east again on the other side as far as the Comfort Hotel.

Turn around again, head west, keep looking out for stickers and gnomes, cross over at The Lion Hotel and back to Ollie Ashenden’s to submit your entry form (during retail hours).

Please take care along the way and only cross at the lights.
