Cycling & Walking
Adelaide is an easy city to explore, with its broad, flat streets, beautiful Park Lands and a wealth of paths and dedicated bike lanes that make it very foot and bike-friendly.
In addition to the pages here, the State Government has a new website on all things cycling.
Bike pumps and repair station
For those who ride, there are two bike pumps in the city to help keep your tyres in good condition. One is centrally located at 25 Pirie Street, the other in Kurangga (Park 20) at the BMX Track on the corner of Unley and Greenhill roads.
You will also find a newly installed bike maintenance station located at the start of the Frome Bikeway at 59 Regent Street South, near the Box Factory. The station features a range of tools to keep you on the road, including a pump, Allen keys, screwdrivers, a chain breaker, wrench and shifter spanner, which are available for use any time of the day or night.
Bike security is important. Don't forget to use a high-quality lock, such as a D-Lock, when you park your bike. Contact your bike retailer for more information.
Secure bike storage and bike lockers are now available at selected UParks, while all offer free, undercover bike racks for cyclists. Find out more.
