Traffic restrictions will be in place on North Terrace between East Terrace and Frome Street from 6am on Sunday 31 August until 4am Thursday 11 September to allow for important road resurfacing in the area.

The road resurfacing work is to upgrade existing road surfaces to ensure the safety of road users in that area, and is part of Council’s road maintenance program.

Works will commence on the southern side of North Terrace where west bound traffic lane restrictions will be in place until completion of that section of the works.

This will be followed by east bound lane restrictions on the northern side of North Terrace to allow for the remainder of the works are completed.

Entry to the Royal Adelaide Hospital will be maintained at all times and VMS signage will be in place on North Terrace advising of the lane restrictions for the duration of the works.

Restricted pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the upgrade, and noise will be kept to a minimum.

Traffic and parking restrictions will apply throughout the course of the road works and expiations will apply in restricted areas.

Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes wherever possible or expect delays.

Normal traffic flows are expected to be reinstated at the conclusion of the works scheduled for 4am Thursday 11 September 2014 subject to favourable weather conditions.
