There is a smorgasbord of free and low cost activities to keep the kids busy in the city this school holidays with Batty Bingo kicking things off on 8 July.

Councillor Priscilla Corbell said whether it is sports, crafts or getting in touch with nature, the community, supported by Splash Adelaide, has created some unique experiences for kids during the holidays.

“One event that really captured my imagination is Mud Play, which is aimed at younger children and centres on experiential play,” said Priscilla.

“As an educator it is great to see opportunities where children and their families can learn together through outdoor play by searching for dinosaur fossils, playing in the mud and making crafts with found objects.

“Another event, this time for the older students, is the 30 minute freestyle football come and try sessions in Victoria Square/ Tarntanyangga where they can learn new tricks from some of the best freestyle football athletes in the Nation,” she said.
