CREDIT UNION CHRISTMAS PAGEANT ROAD CLOSURES
It’s time for the Credit Union Christmas Pageant! Starting at 9.30am this Saturday 9 November, the 2013 Credit Union Christmas Pageant will feature 172 moving sets including 63 floats, more than 250 clowns, 18 bands, nine walking sets and 12 dance groups.
The Pageant will start at the corner of South Terrace and travel along King William Street before heading north east direct to Wakefield Street. The fun will continue along Pulteney Street, on to Flinders Street and then back to King William Street before the big finish outside David Jones on North Terrace.
The following roads will be closed:
From 5.00am to 1.00pm:
• South Terrace between Pulteney Street and Morphett Street
• King William Street between South Terrace and Gouger Street
• Peacock Road between South Terrace and Greenhill Road.
From 7.00am to 1.00pm:
• Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga in its entirety
• Wakefield Street between Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga and Gunson Street
• Pulteney Street between Bath Lane and Pirie Street
• Flinders Street between King William Street and Pulteney Street
• Pirie Street between Gawler Place and King William Street
• Waymouth Street between Waymouth Place and King William Street
• Grenfell Street between Gawler Place and King William Street
• Currie Street between Leigh Street and King William Street
• Grote Street between Pitt Street and Victoria Square/Tarntanyagga
• King William Street between Victoria Square and North Terrace
• King William Road between Festival Drive and North Terrace
• North Terrace between Station Road and Frome Street
• Pulteney Street between Austin Street and North Terrace.
The Franklin Street/Flinders Street intersection will be subject to traffic restrictions from 9.30am Thursday 7 Nov until Flinders Street is closed on Saturday 9 Nov due to the construction of the two stages.
