The City of Adelaide is home to a unique set of markets providing everything from fresh food, hand-made crafts and pre-loved goods

The Adelaide Central Market

The Adelaide Central Market is the largest market of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. With dozens of fantastic stalls including greengrocers, butchers, cafes, bakeries, cheesemongers, seafood, speciality foods and retail goods, there’s something for everyone here.

Gilles Street Market

The Gilles Street Market is uniquely focussed on fashion and accessories. More than 90 stalls are comprised of vintage, retail clearance, designer samples, new designers all selling their wares. A visit to the Gilles Street Market is nicely complemented by the presence of DJs and delicious food stalls.

Market Shed on Holland

The Market Shed on Holland is a feast for the senses! One big bustling shed is filled to the brim with local food producers selling their wares. The market focuses strongly on organically and locally produced food.  A great place to do some light shopping and munch on some of the most delicious treats Adelaide has to offer.

Seasonal Markets

Other markets worth a look are the Ebenezer Night Markets and North Terrace Night Markets. Each runs throughout the warmer months of the year, selling a selection of local goods and wonderful food. This is most often accompanied by light entertainment, be it in the form of live music, buskers, or DJs.
