Noise Management Incentives

The City of Adelaide operates the following services to help you address external noise issues in your city home.

Acoustic Advisory Service

The Acoustic Advisory Service (AAS) provides a free consultation service with a qualified acoustic engineer to provide acoustic advice of a general nature to eligible residents. The service makes recommendations on possible physical changes to a residence to address external noise issues and assesses the suitability of work for financial assistance under Council’s Noise Management Incentive Scheme.

Please read the Operating Guidelines below to confirm eligibility prior to registering your interest.

Noise Management Incentive Scheme

The Noise Management Incentive Scheme (NMIS) is first of its type in Australia. Making acoustic improvements to your home can be very technical and quite expensive, but would definitely make your city living experience better and more pleasant.

The scheme reimburses a proportion of the costs involved in undertaking the recommended acoustic works, 50% up to a maximum of $1,000.

Please read the forms below and understand the application process along with the eligibility criteria prior to submitting an NMIS Application Form.

For more information please contact Council's Noise Management Project Officer, Megan on 8203 7521.
