New Year’s Eve 2019 event - information stand

The annual City of Adelaide New Year’s Eve event in Elder Park attracts approximately 55,000 people over the duration of the event. The program includes live music, a dedicated kid’s zone, roving performers, catering outlets, licenced bar areas, and two fireworks displays.

As part of the event, an Information Stand will be run to assist event patrons with any questions that they may have regarding the event. Volunteers would also manage any lost and found items.

There will be two shifts offered (6:00 pm to 9:30 pm, and 9:30 pm to 12:30 am).

This role would suit someone who enjoys large-scale community events and meeting new people from diverse backgrounds, who can work in crowded settings, and is available to do an evening or late night shift on New Years Eve.

A briefing session will be held for volunteers prior to the event to ensure a good understanding and confidence in the role.
