Dog & Cat Management Plan

In accordance with the Dog and Cat Management Act 1995, councils are responsible for administering many of the Act's requirements, including the development and implementation of a Dog and Cat Management Plan. 

The Plan provides a strategic framework for managing dogs and cats within the local community, promoting responsible ownership, and ensuring Council's legislative obligations are met through targeted actions and initiatives.

Following a review in 2026, the updated Dog and Cat Management Plan 2026–2030 was endorsed by Council and the Dog and Cat Management Board.
