Pooch Pals

Do you need a hand walking your dog?

Pooch Pals, a City of Adelaide program, enhances the wellbeing of our residents, volunteers and four-legged fur friends.

Pets provide companionship and emotional support and help reduce stress.

Pooch Pals helps those needing assistance to walk their dog so they can continue benefiting from being a pet owner.

Whether you’re dealing with health issues, a busy schedule, or physical limitations, Pooch Pals is here to help.

Our volunteers can help keep your dog active and cared for with an enriching, weekly walk.

"This has been a god send to me thank you, very much happy with the volunteers."

"Going very well. My dog gets extremely excited when she hears the volunteer walker approaching."

"My French dog adores her and gets very excited when she sees her. The walks have been very good for my dog as she is young and needs the stimulation and socialisation. She is becoming a very confident and happy dog."

Before being matched:

  • Dogs have a trial walk with staff
  • Volunteers are trained by a qualified animal behaviouralist

Whether you're a dog owner needing assistance or someone who loves dogs and wants to help - we’d love to hear from you!
