Incentives for Sustainability

The City of Adelaide has a goal to become the world’s first Carbon Neutral City.

To help residents reduce their carbon emissions and carbon footprint, Council has a range of Sustainability Incentives. For example: between 2016 and 2017 Council helped 40 eligible low-income and rental residential properties with up front funding for the purchase and installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) energy systems through the Solar Savers Scheme.

Noise management incentives

In an Australian first, the City of Adelaide helps residents address external noise issues in their city home.

In addition to a free acoustic advisory service where a qualified acoustic engineer will give general acoustic advice about your home, the scheme will reimburse homeowners with a portion of costs involved in undertaking the recommended acoustic works.
