Windsor Castle Hotel on the south corner of Franklin Street and Victoria Square. Established in 1850 and rebuilt about in 1880, it was demolished in 1954.

"QUOITS.
A quoit match for a small stake was played on Monday afternoon on the new ground at the rear of Mr. George Sorrell's Windsor Castle Hotel between Messrs. Catchlove and Mace and Messrs. Wadey and Sorrell, and was won by the former. Catchlove and Mace led from the start, and beat their opponents by nine points. The ground had been carefully prepared by Mr. Sorrell. A series of matches will be held."
