'AMERICAN BAR OPENED.
The "American bar," which has been erected at the Red Lion Hotel, Rundle Street, was opened on Monday afternoon. Mr. P. Byrne, the licensee, has secured the services of an expert who was in charge of a similar bar at the Palace Hotel Perth, for seven years. In this bar the man suffering from shattered nerves or a cold can obtain a mixture instead of going into a chemist's shop. The fittings of the bar are good, and the color scheme is artistic. Success to the new bar was drunk by a number of gentlemen, who complimented Mr. Byrne on his enterprise.'
