Hindley Street, Adelaide, south side, on February 23rd 1925. On the left is Hains Hunkin Furniture in the former premises of the Royal Hotel that had ceased trading in 1921. The sign can still be seen. The near side of the MacDonalds Grand Coffee Palace is 38 yards west of Blyth Street. Coffee palaces were intended to provide entertainment to patrons, without alcohol.
