Visit The City For All Your Last Minute Christmas Shopping
Christmas is fast approaching so for that last minute shopping, the city is the place to be with parking specials, late night trading and some great offers from retailers.
Lord Mayor Martin Haese said that the city has Christmas shopping covered.
“The special parking rates in the CBD and the extended trading hours in Rundle Mall, Rundle Street and the Central Market will make it easy for everyone to finish their Christmas shopping so they can start relaxing and spending time with loved ones.
“For those struggling to find that perfect present, we’ve worked with businesses to compile a list of over 100 shopping offers and gift ideas, featured in the Christmas in the City program, available on our website.
“And keep an eye out for the Christmas in the City Wrap Squad who will be out and about providing complimentary wrapping services on selected days in the lead up to Christmas.”
Rundle Mall has extended trading hours leading up to Christmas Day to give everyone plenty of time to find that perfect gift. The Mall will be open until 9pm today and Tuesday 22 December, and will stay open until 12 midnight on Wednesday 23 December.
City of Adelaide’s UParks have special Christmas parking rates in selected locations across the city, making parking in the city easily accessible and convenient.
For those coming in to shop during Rundle Mall’s extended trading hours Wyatt, Rundle and Gawler UPark all offer a $7 Flat Night rate from 6pm Monday to Thursday.
If you're staying late in the city on weekdays, early bird rates at UPark on Wyatt , just off Grenfell Street opposite Adelaide Arcade and only a couple of minutes’ walk to the Mall, will take you through to midnight for only $16.
Gawler UPark is now open until midnight seven days a week and will open at 7am on Wednesday 23 December, complementing Rundle Mall’s early opening times during its special Christmas trading hours.
The Central Market also has special Christmas trading hours, giving shoppers more time to stock up on those Christmas goodies. On the 21, 22 and 23 of December, the Market will be open from 7.00am to 7.00pm, and open from 6.00am to 6.00pm on Christmas Eve.
There are also some great weekend parking deals if you’re heading into the city after Christmas to take advantage of the sales, with Rundle Mall open on Boxing Day, 26 December, from 11am-5pm.
