On behalf of City of Adelaide and our Reconciliation Committee, I pass on our thoughts to the Agius family following the passing of Aunty Josie Agius yesterday.
Aunty Josie was a well respected Aboriginal Elder in South Australia and a friend of City of Adelaide.
In particular, many people would be familiar with Aunty Josie's Aboriginal Welcomes to Country at important events held in the city over the years.
Aunty Josie will be fondly remembered for her tireless work on Reconciliation and for her enduring commitment to Aboriginal people.
Again, our thoughts are with Aunty Josie's family and friends at this sad time.
