Traffic Restrictions on Pulteney Street between Rundle and Grenfell Streets

The content of this media release is over six months old and may no longer be current.

Traffic restrictions will be in place from 7am on Sunday 24 August until Thursday 28 August at 6am on the eastern side of Pulteney Street between Rundle and Grenfell Streets to allow for important road resurfacing in the area.

The road resurfacing work is to upgrade existing road surfaces to ensure the safety of road users in that area, and is part of Council’s road maintenance program.

During the works all south-bound traffic entering Pulteney Street from North Terrace will be diverted into Rundle Street and motorists are advised to plan alternative routes wherever possible or expect delays.

VMS signage will be in place on North Terrace advising of the lane closure and the right hand turn lane into Pulteney Street from North Terrace will be open to local traffic only.

Restricted pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the upgrade, and noise will be kept to a minimum.

Traffic and parking restrictions will apply throughout the course of the road works and expiations will apply in restricted areas.

Normal traffic flows are expected to be reinstated at the conclusion of the works scheduled for 6am Thursday 28 August 2014 subject to favourable weather conditions.
