Traffic restrictions for road works on Jeffcott Street

Important road resurfacing work will be carried out on Jeffcott Street, North Adelaide between Montefiore Hill Road and Molesworth Street commencing on 27 October at 7am and traffic will be affected.

The work, consisting of two stages (profiling the road, then replacement of asphalt in multiple layers) will be carried out between 7am and 5pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 5pm Sunday.

Access for local residents to their property may be restricted during the works and residents are asked to ensure their vehicles are not parked on the road.

Work between Montefiore Hill and south Wellington Square will be carried out between Mondays and Fridays, with south Wellington Square to Molesworth Street carried out on Saturdays and south Wellington Square to Archer Street carried out on Sundays.

Detours and lane restrictions will be in place, and traffic flows into and out of the city will be slowed. Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes wherever possible or expect delays.

Traffic and parking restrictions will be in place throughout the course of the road works and expiations will apply in restricted areas.

Normal traffic flows are expected to be reinstated at the conclusion of stage one of the works scheduled for 5pm 7 November 2014 subject to favourable weather conditions.

This is phase one in a two phase road works program. Phase two, from Molesworth Street to Barton Terrace West, will be completed between 24 November 2014 and 1 December 2014.
