Traffic and Parking Restrictions for Tree Pit upgrade on Victoria Drive

An upgrade of the tree pits on Victoria Drive between King William Road and Kintore Avenue to allow for the planting of 17 Sophora japonica trees to enhance the streetscape in the area will commence on Monday 5th May.

During the upgrade, which includes excavation, underground and above ground works, as well as planting the mature trees, there will be restrictions to parking lanes to enable to the work to be carried out.

During the enhancement works noise will be kept to a minimum.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the project but vehicular access will be restricted from time to time.

Traffic and parking restrictions will apply throughout the course of the road works and normal expiations will apply in restricted areas.

Traffic flows are expected to be returned to normal at the conclusion of the works scheduled for 27 June 2014 subject to favourable weather conditions.
