Join us in Elder Park on the beautiful banks of the River Torrens, as the sun sets and the atmosphere builds for a memorable celebration of all that was 2015, on New Year’s Eve from 7pm.

Winner of the 2014 Australian Event State Award ‘Best Community Event’, the free concert kicks off with The Memphis Suns, More + More, Wasted Wanderers, Lovers Electric, Zkye Blue, and Gorilla Jones, with Ryley’s DJ set to accompany the Nine News Fireworks, designed by award-winning Foti International Fireworks, set to light up the riverbank at both 8:50pm and midnight.

Lord Mayor Martin Haese said Adelaide’s New Year’s Eve celebration in the city is a fantastic tradition for families and friends to get together and celebrate the New Year in a safe, friendly space with the backdrop of the stunning Elder Park Rotunda.

“This year’s Jump Start! competition to win a gig on the NYE stage attracted entries from some of Adelaide’s finest local musicians. With partners Fresh 92.7 and BankSA , we’re proud to announce local up-and-coming artist More + More has won a special place in this year’s line-up,” said Martin.

“As an outcome of the Live Music Action Plan, council is committed to showcasing South Australian talent and we proudly provide unique and high profile pathways of exposure for South Australian musicians and audiences through this dynamic event.”

“Together with our stunning fireworks and powerful music program, presented in the most welcoming environment, New Year’s Eve in Elder Park promises to be a brilliant night out in the city celebrating 2015 and welcome in the possibilities of the New Year,” Martin said.

Returning this year is the BankSA Customer Lounge, with BankSA customers able to enjoy access to an exclusive lounge area within the New Year’s Beer Garden.

There will be a range of food stalls and alcoholic beverages available from the licensed beer gardens, and as with previous years BYO alcohol is not permitted.

The 8:50pm fireworks display will be launched from the River Torrens and Pinky Flat, with midnight fireworks launching from the Riverbank Bridge, River Torrens and Pinky Flat.

For safety purposes during the fireworks displays, the Riverbank Bridge will be closed to park users from 8:00pm Thursday 31 December 2015 until Friday 1:00am 1 January 2016. It will be reopened for the Adelaide Oval crowd exit at approximately 9:45pm on the night and reclosed after this.

This event is built upon the investment and support of our principal partner Nine News, and event partners, BankSA, Fresh 92.7 and Novatech Creative Event Technology.
