On Tuesday night, the City of Adelaide approved two winter events that promise to bring activities for all ages to the city in July.

City of Adelaide Lord Mayor Martin Haese said he was excited by all the different events that could provide something for everyone this winter.

“In addition to the Umbrella: Winter City Sounds music festival and Guitars in Bars, city visitors will also be able to enjoy ice skating and winter markets in the heart of the city.

“Council’s role is to support activity and events in the city, increase visitation and encourage festivals all year round that leave people with positive, lasting memories of our city.

“Council has approved an event in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga and an event along the Riverbank. We look forward to working with the event organisers to progress these events.”
