Free yoga, gourmet food vendors, local market stalls and family fun are just some of the activities on offer as Victoria Square/ Tarntanyangga comes alive with the Breathe Adelaide Festival on Sunday September 7 from 10am- 6pm.

The festival will showcase free, full-length yoga classes from Adelaide’s most inspiring teachers. A wide range of styles will accommodate everyone from the most dedicated yogi to someone looking to try it for the first time. Family classes will also be featured, complemented by kids’ activities and events throughout the day.

Lord Mayor Stephen Yarwood says it is great to see activation in Victoria Square and Breathe Adelaide has something for everyone.

“Victoria Square is the place to be this spring with a series of great events scheduled. It is fantastic to see new events each year that include more local foods and products” Stephen said.

With plenty of interest building and some big name vendors and yoga teachers on board, Breathe Adelaide promises to be a uniquely satisfying day in the heart of the city.

Councillor Megan Hender says that Breathe Adelaide is a fantastic event presented in partnership with Splash Adelaide and City of Adelaide.

“One of the aims of Splash Adelaide is to encourage event organisers to create unique experiences that will bring people into our city’s parks and squares, ” Megan said.

“This festival is based around the principles of sustainability, locally sourced products and promoting a fun and safe family atmosphere.”

Breathe Adelaide will feature some of Adelaide’s favourite food and drink vendors, a marketplace curated for yogis and foodies alike. The line-up includes Simon Bryant’s mobile venture dirt(y) inc, vegan baked goods from The Fakery Bakery, freshly squeezed juices from Juice Junkies and plenty more.

Making their market debut is local yoga equipment company Bolsters & Things. The festival will also feature home grown organic clothing company Vege Threads, Luna & Luxe soy candles, homewares by Hunter and Hound, vibrant plush toys handmade by Little Green Cat and plenty more to keep you browsing between yoga classes.
