If you want access to over 7 million free songs at your fingertips, log into Adelaide City Library’s Virtual Library and check out its newest online resource: Freegal Music!

Adelaide City Library is excited to be the very first public library in South Australia to bring this exciting new music streaming service to the community.

You can choose from millions of songs, thousands of artists and tens of thousands of albums. Freegal includes Sony Music Entertainment’s catalogue of legendary artists and over 28,000 other labels.

Just grab an Adelaide Library Card to stream up to three hours of music per day. You can also download three songs or one music video per week straight to your device – and it’s yours to keep.

Lord Mayor, Martin Haese, a huge music fan himself and big supporter of city libraries, is excited about Freegal and encourages people to take a closer look.

“As an Adelaide City Libraries member, you have access to Freegal and loads of other online resources without even having to go to the library,” said Martin.

“Adelaide City Library was the first library in the state to bring Freegal to the community and we recommend it to all music lovers who live, study, work or play in the city.”

Library customer, Chrystee Rusk, has become a huge fan and recommends it to all of her friends.

"I think Freegal is really cool! It makes music more accessible and it's fun using the website to choose music to listen to. I like being able to access it for free with my library card,” said Chrystee.

Besides Freegal, the Adelaide City Libraries range of eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, learning tools and movies is growing rapidly and the libraries team is keen to promote its latest additions.

You can discover rich and varied resources in the Virtual Library such as Zinio which gives you access to 400 magazine titles, ranging from Vogue to Australian Handyman to Forbes.

Or why not access Australian Migration and Education Solutions to learn English from beginner to intermediate level – for work, life and study in Australia and global environments.
