Calling all corporate teams - The Race Around Adelaide is Coming Soon!

The content of this media release is over six months old and may no longer be current.

Nine corporate teams will be pitted against each other in a quest to become the champions of Adelaide through the Race Around Adelaide, an event organised by City of Adelaide to raise funds for the good works of St Vincent de Paul.

Registrations are now open for corporations wanting to field a team of four to take part in an “Amazing Race” type of event in the Adelaide CBD.

“Race Around Adelaide is going to be a lot of fun, it’ll give people a reason to get out of their offices into the sunshine, and take on a challenge of a different kind,” said Peter Smith, CEO City of Adelaide.

“Last month we signed an MoU with St Vincent de Paul Society (SA) pledging our administrative staff members to raise $25,000 per year for the next three years for the less fortunate of Adelaide.

“We love Adelaide, and this is a great way for us to share some of our favourite aspects of the City with participants, while giving back to our community,” he said.

Teams will spend a day competing to solve cryptic clues and participating in a series of exclusive “money can’t buy” activities designed to showcase interesting parts of the city along a mystery route.

There are only nine corporate competitor spaces, and with three already taken there’s no time to waste and the small investment of $2000 per team to participate goes directly to support St Vincent de Paul in Adelaide.

Council staff members will be on hand throughout the day-long event providing support to participants where needed as well as encouragement along the way.

Race kits and further instructions for players are being held under tight security at mission control head-quarters and will be revealed to players closer to the 15 November race day.

The Race will culminate in an end of race celebration event, the details of which will be announced at a later date.

Registrations close, COB 30 September unless filled sooner and teams can register by email at [email protected]
