Be part of your city’s future

The content of this media release is over six months old and may no longer be current.

While voting in Council elections is optional, it is a right that shouldn’t be taken for granted. This is your opportunity to have your say and influence the future of the City of Adelaide and more importantly, your local community.

Voting for a Lord Mayor and Councillors to represent different areas of the city is the best way to have your thoughts and ideas for your community heard and implemented. The City of Adelaide is developing at a rapid pace so it is a perfect time to have your say on how it develops.

If you rent or own property in the city, time is fast approaching for you to play a role in shaping the future of the city over the next four years.

The ongoing success of the city relies on its citizens’ participation in the decisions made for its future. We need everyone’s input – from young business leaders to people who have called Adelaide home for decades – to have a say and vote for the Councillors you believe will make a difference.

Enrolments are now open. You must enrol to vote by 8 August. Go to cityofadelaide.com.au/elections to find out more.
