Adelaide's Hot Lap Fun Run is back for 2018

Adelaide’s Hot Lap Fun Run is back again in 2018. Join in with the whole community and take to the bitumen of the Adelaide 500 race circuit.

On Sunday 25 February 2018, you can walk or run along the official Adelaide 500 Race Track with friends and family. Adelaide’s Hot Lap Fun Run is a unique, fun event that is open to the whole community.

An exclusive Adelaide 500 Race podium photography opportunity is available to the first 50 purchasers. Photos will be taken by a professional photographer prior to the race start.

Lord Mayor of Adelaide Martin Haese will be donning his joggers and joining in the fun.

“Anyone can take part in the Hot Lap Fun Run, whether you walk or run it. It’s a great opportunity to get on to the famous Adelaide 500 race track and check out the circuit before the real speed demons hit the track next week.

“The Royal Society for the Blind will also be joining in for a three kilometre walk. You can grab breakfast for yourself and a goodie for your furry friend from one of the doggie stalls and join in the walk around the track.

“There will be ‘best dressed pooch’ and ‘best owner / dog look-a-like’ competitions after the walk, and with each registration online you’ll receive a paw print bandana for either you or your dog to wear.

“Come and join me this Sunday morning for a fun run or a walk around the Adelaide 500 race track – you don’t need to be a fitness guru, everyone is welcome.”
