Active Ambassador Sports Awards 2015
As part of the City of Adelaide’s 175th Anniversary celebrations, Friday night saw the inaugural Active Ambassador Sports Awards held at North Adelaide Golf Course.
The Awards recognise and celebrate people who have encouraged, inspired and enabled people in the City of Adelaide to get involved in sport and those with inspiring sporting success.
There were 10 awards presented on the night with each of the category winners going into a prize draw to win $500 worth of Rebel Sport Rundle Mall vouchers for their club or organisation. The Skinny Lattes Cycling Club were the lucky winners.
Rebel Sport Rundle Mall sponsored the Junior & Senior Club of the Year awards providing a further $250 worth of vouchers for the two winners.
Door prizes including GPS watches, six month membership to Adelaide Aquatic Centre, two rounds of Golf at North Adelaide Golf Course and two 30 minute massage vouchers at City Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic were also given away on the night.
Acting Lord Mayor Houssam Abiad joined the nominees for the celebrations and presented the winners with their awards.

Official of the Year - Damien Carlson, Touch Football
Coach of the Year - Alex Murphy, Adelaide Tritons Water Polo Club
Active Ambassador Event of the Year - Hammer Time, SA Croquet Association
Active Ambassador Contribution to Physical Activity - Darrilyn Wood, Life Be In It
