Adelaide Visitor Information Centre
The Adelaide Visitor Information Centre is located in the heart of Adelaide's shopping precinct, in James Place just off Rundle Mall, and offers assistance to local, interstate and overseas visitors. The Centre is staffed by knowledgeable, enthusiastic volunteers who can assist you with directions, brochures, maps, event guides and journey planning that will help you make the most of your time in Adelaide and South Australia.
Free short term wheelchair and pusher hire is available.
Monday to Friday: 9 am to 5 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10 am to 4 pm

If you have been to Adelaide before or have friends and relatives coming to Adelaide for a holiday why not book an Adelaide Greeter for a free guided, personalised walk in the city.
Adelaide Greeters offer orientation walks of the City, tailored to your interests and available in multiple languages. Our passionate and knowledgeable volunteers will orient you to various attractions, provide travel advice and give you a local’s perspective on what makes Adelaide one of the most liveable, innovative and creative small cities of the world. This service runs from 2-4 hours, is entirely free, and available 9-5, 7 days a week. Adelaide Greeters is for small family groups and individuals, it is not available for groups. Maximum 6-8 people.
Our Greeters are part of the Global Greeter Network, and this service is growing quickly in popularity! Booking is simple. just fill in and submit the Visitor Request Form or book via email or telephone.

First Steps in Adelaide
Also available from the Adelaide Visitor Information Centre is a free 30 - 45 minute orientation walk called First Steps in Adelaide. This orientation walk takes you around Rundle Mall and the nearby precinct to introduce new visitors to the city and highlight major attractions, public transport and current events.
The walk departs from the Adelaide Visitor Information Centre every weekday (excluding public holidays) at 9.30am, bookings are not required.

The Info Bike
Get the hot tip about how to explore our beautiful city from our City Guides and Mobile Visitor Information Bike.
Head down to the Visitor Centre on James place for a great variety of guides and ideas on what to do, or keep your eye out at major events for our City Guides and mobile bikers.
When you're exploring the City of Adelaide be sure to keep an eye out for our roaming volunteer City Guides. Our City Guides are super knowledgeable and keen to help you with any question you may have, whether it be directions, what’s on in the city or public transport advice.
City Guides operate Monday to Friday from 9am to 12noon and roam around the Rundle Mall precinct.
Central Market Information Booth
If you are heading to the Adelaide Central Market for a tour or to buy delicious South Australian produce and products then be sure to drop by the Central Market Information Booth, located near the Grote Street entrance.
The Central Market Information Booth is open during busy market periods Tuesday to Saturday. Here our friendly volunteers will be able to assist you with locating stalls and finding ingredients within the Central Market as well as the latest information on local attractions, events and transport services.
