Topham Mall

Coco Jumbo

Shop 14 Topham Mall, Adelaide SA 5000

Coco Jumbo looks as good as it makes you feel. The walls are decked out in geometric black and white tiles that really make a hot pink neon light pop… the way a hot pink neon light really should. The pièce de résistance is the glass cabinet displaying a rainbow of tropical treasures - pineapples, coconuts, limes, oranges and all other things fruity.

When it comes to ingredients, Coco Jumbo are getting back to basics, in the most delicious way possible. Choose from an array of cold pressed juices or choose your adventure by creating your own. Why not smoothie a bad day over with a frappe. Coco Jumbo’s offering extend far beyond liquid form with lunch options liked Mumma’s Minestrone and toasted ciabatta, or a choice of Mediterranean salads. After some sweet treats? Nab some gluten free, vegan banana bread or a choc chia brownie.

If you’re pining for a tropical holiday, you’re in luck. Coco Jumbo has captured island escapes in every mouthful. Life’s so much better when you are drinking a fresh coconut.

Likuid Espresso

44 Waymouth Street, Adelaide SA 5000

When owner of Likuid Espresso, Pius Steiner, opened his doors in the city he knew he had to offer something special to succeed.

Cue in a great chef, a market-researched-and-approved menu and a funky vibe – a sure-fire recipe for giving the people what they want. And what do they want you ask? Classic brekkies with delightful twists, like the Bubble and Squeak – layers of mashed peas, pumpkin, sweet potato topped with a poached egg. Delicious pasta dishes, with salty meats, mushrooms and zucchini. And of course, the burger to delight all burger-lovers – a bacon and cheese laden beef burger, topped with onion rings and tomato chutney and a crunchy pickle perched on top of the bun. Genius!

The menu is constantly changing, depending on what customers want, so if you want to get any of these tasty dishes in your belly – you better get there quick!

Environmentally conscious, Bonobo offer biodegradable take-away cups (which you can pop in your compost bin) and 50c off if you bring in your own cup.

If you’re looking for something extra special, Bonobo are serving up the creative genius that is the Nutella latte. O’Connell’s Book Shop

19 Bank Street, Adelaide SA 5000

O'Connell's Bookshop is an Adelaide institution and celebrated their 70th birthday in 2017. The keys to the bookshop kingdom have passed through 3 generations of the O’Connell family. O’Connell’s has a rich history which has seen it call the Central Market, Bowman’s Arcade (which no longer exists), Leigh Street and Hindley street home before finding its current abode in The Station Arcade, just off Bank Street.

They offer collections of all the classics and if you’re lucky you might just come across a pre-loved copy that’s been signed by the author.

Take a se
at in an old leather armchair that once belonged to Grandpa O'Connell, and perhaps read a book that will take you to somewhere special.
