Bakery on O’Connell

Bakery on O’Connell has been serving up baked goodies round the clock for 15 years. Nothing says footy season quite like a donut emblazoned with your team colours, or a pie for that matter. With over 200 items instore, the sky’s the limit. Vegans rejoice, the Bakery also has an extensive list of vegan treats. Be sure to keep an eye out for the ‘Pie of the Month’.

Ricky's Chicken Rice North Adelaide

Ricky’s has long been a Hainanese chicken rice institution in Chinatown, with the sauce gathering crowds in its own right. You can now get your nightly fix on O’Connell Street. The choice is obvious for purists however the new set up sports a range of equally appetising choices, all at bargain prices. Start with a range of dumplings including a Korean-inspired kimchi option before devouring something hearty from the stir fry noodle menu.

Burgastronomy has been satisfying the hungry bellies of Adelaide for five years. The menu is small but Burgastronomy have perfected every single morsel. There are thirteen items which have a subtle American influence while showing off the best of local produce. Burger options include Coorong Angus Beef, crispy buttermilk-style fried chicken or Portobello mushroom. Mix and match with a serve of sweet potato fries, jalapeno poppers, corn fritters or slaw.

There’s ramen and then there’s ramen with handmade noodles crafted by someone who has trained under a ramen master. Chef Bin Shen loving crafts six varieties of noodles daily which can be paired back with three broth options. There's also a lengthy yakitori menu that is the perfect add on to your main feast - grab a seat at the bar for a prime view of the skewers being hand grilled!

You know you are in for a pizza treat when the chefs have the tick of approval from Italy’s Accademia Italiana della Pizza. From the dream team who brought you Ruby Red Flamingo, Tony Tomatoes follows a similar formula. The menu sports traditional Italian fare, with some surprises thrown in for good measure. Pizza is the obvious choice but don’t hold back from exploring the big and small share plates.

Bhlm and Holly have bringing delicious Nepalese food to North Adelaide since 2003, with warm Nepalese hospitality to match. The menu is abundant in soul soothing dishes like clay oven cooked chicken marinated in yoghurt and herbs, moreish curries and homemade dumplings made with TLC.
