The Kings Head

The Kings Head exclusively uses South Australia produce. You can sample some of the best the State has to offer on the cheap with their $10 meals. Feast on squid on Mondays, a steak on Wednesday, or a beef or chicken schnitzel on Thursdays.

Sit Lo

30 Bank Street, Adelaide SA 5000


Sit Lo’s menu is not your standard Vietnamese offering. Alongside traditional dishes like their MSG-free pho and vermicelli bowls, you’ll also find yummy street-food bites like panko crumbed fried chicken baos and lotus root chips. Most items are under $10 so get munching!

Union Hotel

70 Waymouth Street, Adelaide SA 5000


The Union has been serving up pub fare and drinks since 1855. This city institution’s ‘Pizza Time’ is a guaranteed good time. They use Caputo Flour 00 which is imported from Italy, so you know it’s the real deal. On Mondays pizzas are only $7 or $10 on Tuesdays. Happy hour is from 5 pm to 7 pm which will give you even more reason to smile.

Electra House Hotel

Head over to the swanky Electra House on Thursdays for a cheep-cheep chicken extravaganza. All chicken menu items are 50% off and their famous Korean fried chicken wings are only $1 each. The tough part will be choosing between the crispy chicken burger, famous fried chicken or poached chicken salad!

North Indian Cuisine

38 Hindley Street, Adelaide SA 5000


The name says it all. Head to Hindley Street for some delicious authentic North Indian cuisine. This nook is no frills but makes up for it with some serious flavours. Three curries with rice will only set you back $8.50-$9.50 and servings are super generous!
