With over 100 businesses across the city and North Adelaide, you are in for a treat. Meet some of our Artists

Tutti Visual Artists Studio

The Tutti Visual Artists Studio is a vividly wild and creative heart for artists with intellectual and learning disability who desire to pursue a career in the arts.

The studio provides a workshop environment where artists can explore and engage in 2D, 3D and new media projects. Led by a team of passionate and dedicated creative professionals, the program supports the development of artists’ careers and individual practice.

Creative outcomes of the program have seen the studios’ artists exhibit their work locally, nationally and overseas whilst also being projected onto iconic buildings and appearing as public installations as well.Individual artists who worked on dog bowls include Kimberly Sellers, Dougie

Nicola Semmens

Nicola Semmens prides herself on being a realist painter with her work offering a contemporary take on traditional painting themes, adding twists and turns to create subtle surrealist distortions. Nicole’s hope is that her themes inspire the viewer to take a visual and imagined adventure to see the world ‘through the looking glass’ of wonderment.

Nicola graduated from the South Australian School of Art in 1991 where she studied sculpture, painting and drawing. She has also exhibited her paintings and drawings across the state in locations like The Governor Hindmarsh Hotel, One Rundle Trading, The Intercontinental Hotel in Adelaide and at the Hahndorf Academy.

 

Linda Bell

Linda Bell has been working as a professional Henna Artist for over six years and has also built up a successful portfolio as a Visual Artist. Both fast and highly skilled, Linda’s work has become well desired due to its delicate, intricate style along with her strong passion for the art form. All of her designs through Henna are applied freehand.

Through her work, Linda has established long term friendships with several local talented henna artists, ensuring quality artists for events requiring more than one henna artist, or offering referrals when fully booked out. 

 

St. Patricks Special School

St. Patricks Special School is a co-educational school which provides teaching for students, who because of their intellectual disability require a specialised placement. The school nurtures the potential of each individual student whilst fostering a partnership with parents.

​Students were beyond thrilled when they were given the opportunity to paint over dog bowls for the Pawsome Trail. They had free reign with Uni Posca paint pens and made the most of the opportunity creating several different designs. An abundance of sharing, positive communications and social interaction occurred between the students during the painting session.

 

Adele Dubarry

Adele Dubarry is an emerging artist who works in oils and pastels. Finding inspiration in natural forms in the environment and by the human body, Adele spends time with landscapes to study form and detail, in a process of careful watchfulness combined with a sense of intuition.

Since starting classes with Central Studios in 2012, she has quickly become recognized for her style of delicate abstraction and won the 2016 Rain Moth Gallery River Life Art Prize. Adele has also participated in group shows with Central Studios, Art Images Norwood and her work is regularly exhibited in the SALA Festival.

 

Sarah Boese

Sarah Boese is an Adelaide based Illustrator and mural artist. Graduating from UniSA in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in visual communication, Sarah focuses on large scale public murals and street art, children’s picture books, portraiture and branding. Inspiration for her vibrant artist style often derives from people and their stories adding a personal element to all of Sarah’s work.

Sarah has gone on to create various murals throughout South Australia on behalf of councils and small businesses, whilst also proving illustrative work for the recent Coopers Session Ale advertising campaign.

Thomas Readett

Cibo, Cnr Melbourne / Jerningham Street, Adelaide

Thomas Readett is an emerging artist from Adelaide who currently works as an education officer at the Art Gallery of South Australia. Having been a drawer since his early childhood, Thomas looked to further his career as a professional artist and enrolled into Adelaide Central School of Art in 2011. It was there, where Thomas began his painting journey.

During his time at the Adelaide Central School of Art, Thomas held group shows with fellow graduates and ended his degree with his final body of video work based around ideas of Solitude and a personal journey through his identity. Thomas has since exhibited solo shows titled “Beneath the Skin” and “Dark Light”.

Kab101

Cibo, Cnr O’Connell / Archer Street, Adelaide

Holding a rich history of street-writing since the early eighties, KAB101 has developed a marking style reflective of his unique personality. His work is based on calligraphic signature markings and mechanical tape styles with his studio paintings consisting of these very same themes. Kab101’s work also fascinatingly portrays stories of identity, his emotions, and experiences related to his past and present affinity with writing his name and taking space.

Through utilizing spray paint, inks, markers and brushes, KAB101 often finds himself exploring new mediums to produce works connected to the written word.

Chris Orchard

The David Roche Foundation, 241 Melbourne Street, Adelaide 

Christopher Orchard is one of the leading proponents of the drawn image in Australia and is well recognized by his peers not only in Australia but across the globe as well in Europe and the United States. Christopher teaches at the Adelaide Central School of Arts where he is beloved by his several students who have been privileged to learn off him.

Christopher regularly exhibits with BMGArt, Adelaide and has work displayed at the Art Gallery of South Australia, Artbank, Government House (SA), The British Petroleum Collection (London) and Stephen Rosenberg Fine Art, New York to name a few.

Leith Semmens

Quest on Franklin, 74 Franklin Street, Adelaide

Leith Semmens is an artist from Adelaide who specializes in ink and graphite drawings, with an occasional interest in painting and photography as a form of exploration.

Most of Leith’s art explores his home state of South Australia or places he has visited, finding the most important attributes for his artworks being patterns, details, and a skill of craftsmanship.

Adam Poole-Mottishaw (Tarns One)

Phat Coffee, 207 Hindley Street, Adelaide

Adam Poole-Mottishaw otherwise known by his street name Tarns One has been involved in Adelaide’s underground graffiti movement since 1987. Having continuously pushed his art, style and practice into new areas while experimenting with different mediums, Poole-Mottishaw’s work integrates subject matter with elements of abstraction and expressionism that induce a sense of fragmented motion.

Tarns also founded the popular art gallery/store known as Cold Krush, where a large majority of his work can be viewed as well as other talented artists. Keep an eye out on the street as the next time a mural catches your eye, It could be very well be work of Cold Krush.

Vans the Omega

Duke of Brunswick, 207 Gilbert Street, Adelaide

Mostly based in Adelaide, Vans the Omega has been creating and painting letterforms for over two decades. Tracing back to his childhood days, Vans was largely influenced by graffiti and urban art, being fascinated by the scale and visual impact of graffiti and street art along train lines.

Today, the work of Vans the Omega can be found on streets around the world; with his signature style inspired by the natural world, crystals, sacred geometry, ancient scripts, architecture, engineering and the idea of movement or balance.

Elizabeth Close is a contemporary and traditional Aboriginal artist based in Adelaide. Elizabeth’s artworks reflect her experience as an Aboriginal woman whilst also representing her journey of rediscovery and reconnection with her Indigenous heritage and culture. Most Elizabeth’s unique work is represented in the form of Canvas and Street art.

Dana Kinter

Dana Kinter is an artist living in the Fleurieu Peninsula who draws inspiration from the natural environment surrounding her home and an Encyclopedia of Australian Birds handed down by her Grandmother. Dana has used these wonderful assets to create a signature style that embraces Australia’s native flora and fauna.

Having completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts and Applied Design in 2002 and an Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design in 2005, Dana sold out her first solo exhibition in 2013. Ever since, Dana has established a close knit following and is represented locally and national with paintings in South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia and, recently, a range of ceramics in Sydney.
