As the name might suggest this is ‘a little piece of Europe in Adelaide’. One of the new kids on the West End block, this rooftop bar is quickly gaining reputation with the cool kids. Kick back on one of their lounges or gather with a bunch of your besties around the tables. Florence are serving up all the best sharing plates under the sun, like antipasto platters, cheese or dips plates and delicious house-made sliders. Watch the sun go down and stay for the retro cocktails and live DJ sets.

The Hennessey Bar

The HENNESSY Rooftop Bar atop the 5-star Mayfair Hotel has a glass-topped, al fresco terrace that gives you the feeling you’ve stepped into a city-oasis. Housed in the iconic St Paul’s Rectory on Flinders Street, The Jade is renowned in Adelaide as a live music hub, playing host to varying genres such as rock, jazz and hip hop.
The food served in this magical beer garden is catered by the Phat Buddha Rolls' Cambodian Street Kitchen – so expect goodies such as BBQ chicken lemongrass rolls, rice noodle salads and sweet potato fries. Perfectly partnered with The Jade’s craft beer, boutique wine and delicious cocktail selection.

Peter Rabbit Cafe and Bar

Named after the classic children’s-storybooks – Peter Rabbit Café and Bar sets the scene for a whimsical garden adventure with friends. Set in the west end of Hindley Street – walking through the gate is like stepping into another world.
With a seasonal menu of garden-inspired delights, Peter Rabbit offer a daytime menu serving classic breakfast fare along with a selection of hand-picked belly-pleasers for lunch. From 3pm choose from the night menu, with a selection of share foods and other tasty morsels. On the drinks menu is a list of craft brews, hand-picked cocktails and local wines – so hop on over, find a sunny spot in the garden and get lost in the moment.

Located right in the heart of the city, just up the road from the Adelaide Town Hall, is a true secret garden. Featuring a topiary garden and water fountain, you could be forgiven for thinking you’re at a cute bed and breakfast out in the country. Beeline through the entrance of the Adina Hotel, past the bar and out into the courtyard and find your perfect little garden oasis. Sharing a menu with the Kitchen, the Courtyard offers fresh, locally sourced ingredients including Kangaroo Island scallops, Woodside brie, Onkaparinga Valley venison and locally caught fish. You can also order from their bar menu, featuring delicious antipasto snacks and light meal options.
Botanic Gardens Restaurant
Plane Tree Drive, Botanic Gardens of Adelaide
Literally located in a garden by a pretty pond, the enchanting Botanic Gardens Restaurant sits within a beautiful heritage rotunda surrounded by the lush greenery of the garden.
The restaurant is headed by award-winning chef, Paul Baker, who presents a fresh spring menu, loaded with ethically farmed and sustainable South Australian produce. Following a ‘garden to plate’ philosophy, the freshest of vegetables and herbs are harvested daily from the 51-hectare kitchen garden. An extensive wine selection is available at the venue and can be paired with the dishes.
